Tulsa Takes A Drive

Scripps Classic Hits KBEZ (92.9 Bob FM)/Tulsa underwent a rebranding at noon Tuesday, becoming 92.9 The Drive. Naturally, the station will focus on music from the ’70s & ’80s, and we understand the music mix will lean a bit further into the Classic Rock lane, playing The Eagles, Billy Joel, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, Elton John, Steve Miller, Def Leppard, The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, etc.

The care and feeding of the new 92.9 The Drive will be handled by new PD Shelby Travis, who also programs News-Talk sibling KFAQ. Previous PD Dave Austin left in June. Andy Barber remains in morning drive, followed by new midday personality Jeanne Nass, formerly of Cox Media Classic Rock KJSR (103.3 The Eagle). Josh Holstead will drive you home in the afternoon, while former midday personality Drew McKenna segues to nights.
