Jen Lewis Returns To Norfolk Radio
• Jen Lewis makes her welcome homecoming to Hampton Roads’ radio as Max Media welcomes her as the new midday host on AC WVBW (92.9 The Wave)/Norfolk. Her arrival will allow Rusty James to unplug from the shift and focus his full attention on main gig as VP of Operations and Programming for the six-station Norfolk cluster. James remarked, “I’m so excited to get one of Hampton Roads’ most loved radio personalities back on the radio at 92.9 The Wave.”
Lewis is a Hampton Roads native who began her radio career more than 25 years ago. She notably spent 19 years at WGH-FM (97.3 The Eagle) as co-host the popular Jimmy Ray and Jen Morning Show. In 2015, Lewis made the transition to television as she joined the No. 1 morning team on WAVY TV10/Fox 43 as traffic anchor, weekly midday news anchor, special projects reporter and Hampton Roads Show contributor.
“Stepping back into the studio feels like home,” said Lewis. “I’m excited about returning to the Max Media family. 92.9 The Wave is my station! It’s the station I listen to all the time. I’m thrilled to host the midday show and spend each workday with new friends and old.”
And with that, here is the new weekday line-up at 92.9 The Wave — 5-10am: The Morning Wave with Paul Richardson and Jennifer Roberts; 10am-3pm: Jen Lewis; 3-7pm: Dino; 7pm-midnight: Delilah.
