Stevens Ready To Tame The Coyote
• Shawn Stevens has been named PD of Beasley Media Country KCYE (102.7 The Coyote)/Las Vegas. Stevens arrives after more than 15 years in Salt Lake City, most recently as PD of Cumulus Country KUBL (K-Bull 93). Prior to that, he worked at KBEE and KKAT. Before his long run in SLC, Stevens did on-air and programming stints at KXKL and KZDG/Denver, KXRX/Seattle and WRTH-AM/St. Louis.
“We searched for a very long time to find the perfect PD fit for KCYE,” said John Candelaria, Operations Manager for Beasley Media Group Las Vegas. “Shawn’s total understanding of the format, his vision for KCYE-FM and his friendly attitude is tailor-made for the Beasley Las Vegas culture. Shawn brings a wealth of knowledge and with his leadership abilities, 102.7 the Coyote will continue to grow to new heights.”
Stevens commented, “The Beasley culture is well known in the industry and I’m thrilled to be joining a solid broadcast family that shares my passion for this business. My thanks to [EVP of Programming] Justin Chase, [VP/Market Manager] Tom Humm and John Candelaria for giving me the opportunity to lead the resilient team at KCYE.” The KCYE PD position has been vacant since August, when Kris Daniels resigned to focus on her “Therapy In The Morning” marriage and family therapy practice.
