Entercom Brings ALT To Orlando
• Entercom is on its ALT mission again, this time in Orlando, as it flipped former CBS Radio Top 40 WQMP (101.9 AMP Radio) to ALT 101.9, Orlando’s New Alternative.
“In a city with a rapidly evolving demographic, we are thrilled to fill this void in radio in Orlando,” said Pat Paxton, Entercom President of Programming. “ALT 101.9 FM caters to the tech-savvy, engaged and active Orlando audience and will provide an exciting and unique experience for listeners who are currently underserved with today’s radio choices in Orlando.” ALT 101.9 is currently powering through 10,000 songs commercial-free.
• On the heels of the flip, RAMP has confirmed that former AMP PD Dennis Martinez remains aboard, but the AMP airstaff has exited — morning duo Jill Bucco and Chad Pitt (JillGrace1075@aol.com and chadpittshow@gmail.com); midday personality Jessica Reyes (Enterateconjessica@gmail.com); afternoon driver Danie B (Danie33b@gmail.com) and night jock Kevin Kon (Kevinminhconn@gmail.com).
