Now Entering NJ: Anne Gress!
• We are thrilled to report that talented major market pro Anne Gress is right back in the programming saddle as the newly named Brand Manager of Townsquare Media News-Talk WKXW (New Jersey 101.5)/Trenton, NJ, effective January 16. Ms. Gress arrives toting an impressive resume that boasts 26 years of programming experience in the Philadelphia market, highlighted by her most recent 14-year stint as PD of CBS Radio Classic Hits WOGL until last May. Before that, Gress spent three years as Operations Manager of iHeartMedia Urban WUSL (Power 99) and former Smooth Jazz WJJZ. She also worked at former Pyramid/Evergreen Hot AC WYXR (Star 104.5) from 1991-1995. Earlier in her career Gress was an air personality at the legendary WRBQ (Q105)/Tampa.
“I’m genuinely excited to join the team at Townsquare Media and NJ 101.5,” said Gress. “Their unique format, rock-star staff and consistently strong ratings make this an irresistible opportunity. I look forward to adding my voice to their highly successful model and working closely with SVP of Programming Kurt Johnson, RVP Rob Williams and Market President/Chief Revenue Officer Ron DeCastro.”
DeCastro remarked, “I’m extremely happy to have a true professional like Anne join the team at NJ 101.5. I have long admired Anne’s work, going back to our days at Power 99. She is innovative, creative and understands how to work with talented people. We are all excited to have her join this winning team.” Johnson added, “Anne’s track record is among the best. She just wins. I’ve known her for over 20 years and respect her tremendously. This is an exciting new era for one of America’s most legendary stations.”
Gress succeeds Eric Johnson, who held the position for 19 years until early December, when he was named Director of Sports Content for Beasley Media Group’s WPEN (97.5 The Fanatic) and WTEL-AM (610 Sports)/Philadelphia.
