Ramsay OM Of Cherry Creek Wenatchee
• Jerry Ramsay is the newly named Operation Manager for Cherry Creek Media’s seven-station cluster in scenic Wenatchee, WA, effective Feb. 12. He’ll also be the PD/morning host at county KYSN (Kissin’ 97.7).
Ramsay has over 20 years of multi-format experience with career stops at WHKF/Harrisburg, PA, KMCK & KBBQ/Fayetteville, AR, KSII/El Paso TX, KMVA & KPKX/Phoenix. He most recently worked for Ingstad’s Radio Yakima in Yakima, WA as PD/morning talent at Classic Rock KRSE (105.7 the Hawk) and PD of Hot AC Big 106.1 (K291BT) and Alternative 106.9X-FM (K295BV).
In a staff memo, VP/Market Manager Kevin Andrus said, “Jerry has a strong background in helping sell and develop marketing and promotional campaigns. He is even CRMC-certified through RAB! Jerry also has a strong background in digital and social media platforms, radio imaging, positioning, branding and a solid understanding of diary methodologies.” Ramsay told RAMP, “I’m so excited to join the extremely talented group of broadcasters at Cherry Creek Wenatchee! Thanks to Kevin Andrus and Mark Elliot for their confidence in me! I’m bringing some BBQ up with me from Austin.”
• Ramsay succeeds Brandon Young, who was recently named Programming & Content Director for Alpha Media Country KYKX/Tyler-Longview, TX.
