Mornings Reimagined At WRVE/Albany

• iHeartMedia Hot AC WRVE (99.5 The River)/Albany, NY has named Tracy Villaume as the station’s new morning co-host. Villaume (left) crosses the hall from News-Talk sister WGY and will plug in across from host Kevin Rush on the rebranded Kevin & Tracy in the Morning, effective March 5.

She will replace Shanna, who will be formally relocating to Country sibling WMIL (FM 106.1)/Milwaukee. For the past year Shanna has been doing double-duty — juggling mornings on WRVE and tracking afternoon drive (as “Quinn“) on WMIL, and last week we reported that Ms. Quinn had been upped to APD/MD on WMIL.

“We will miss Shanna, but we are also excited to see her advance within iHeartMedia,” said Randy McCarten, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Albany. “We are lucky to have someone as talented as Tracy already in our building. Kevin and Tracy will pick up where Kevin and Shanna left off and continue to wake up the Capital Region with a lot of fun each morning.”

Villaume, who has also worked as a reporter for WTEN-TV, commented, “I’m excited for the opportunity to work alongside such talent. I’m looking forward to being a part of delivering the variety of music and up-beat content The River is known for each morning.”
