Morrison Driving Charlotte Home
• Brooke Morrison is making a cross-country move from Los Angeles to Charlotte as the newly named afternoon drive personality for iHeartMedia Top 40 (and Ace & TJ flagship) WHQC (Channel 96.1), effective March 26. She will also assist in the day-to-day operations of the station’s social media platforms, and will report to Channel 96.1 PD A.J., who said, “We are very excited about what Brooke will bring to Charlotte. Her high level of engagement, work ethic and passion for music and entertainment make her a superstar on and off the air. I look forward to her joining the team as we build the next chapter of Channel 96.1.”
Morrison transfers to Charlotte from iHeartMedia Los Angeles, where she was most recently Producer for afternoon talent Nina Chantele on Urban KRRL (Real 92.3). She’s also done overnights and weekends for KGGI/Riverside and afternoons on KSLZ (Z107.7)/St. Louis.
“Brooke is the perfect fit for Charlotte and Channel 96.1!” said Meg Stevens, EVP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s Northeast Division. “She has a unique outlook that we are looking forward to sharing on air and through social media. She’s smart, savvy and incredibly driven — we’re excited for her arrival.”
No less excited and thrilled is Ms. Morrison, who said, “I’m incredibly excited to join Channel 96.1! I can’t begin to describe how amazing it has been to learn and grow under the guidance of the entire iHeartMedia Los Angeles team, and I’m ecstatic to continue my journey with the iHeartMedia Charlotte team!”
