Big Cat Captures Louisville Jocks
• Congrats to a couple of seasoned Louisville radio vets — Mike Shannon and Chris Randolph have both joined W&B Broadcasting Country WLVK (Big Cat 105.5)/Elizabethtown, just south of Louisville — Shannon (left, stylish hat sold separately) will drive you to work, and Randolph (right) will drive you home.
Shannon most recently did mornings at WOVO/Bowling Green, KY, and his radio resume also includes WHHT/Toledo, WSB/Atlanta, and WDJX/Louisville — and who could forget the late, great KYNO/Fresno (where Shannon worked with Kevin Carter in the late ’80s).
Randolph’s resume includes Alpha Media Hot AC WXMA (102.3 The Max)/Louisville, WMXL/Lexington, KY, Hot AC WMTX/Tampa and seven years at WAMZ/Louisville. Shannon succeeds Jordan Smith, who left in January, while Randolph replaces Charlie Steele, who left a few weeks ago.
