• Townsquare Media just announced an exciting, newly created corporate opportunity — Online Brand Manager. The text of the posting goes something like this, “Townsquare is seeking a leader to manage our online audio experience. Just like a programmer creates a compelling on-air listening experience, the Online Brand Manager will have a strong sense of curating an engaging experience across streaming, radio-in-dashboard and voice-activated platforms (e.g., Alexa, Google Play, Apple Home). He or she will possess a keen ability to present that experience in a highly attractive and engaging way. If you can demonstrate successful history of programming and promoting radio brands, a solid understanding of evolving digital consumer landscape, and that you love making great radio brands shine wherever they appear in 2018, this is your job.”
This new position reports to Townsquare SVP of Programming Kurt Johnson, who commented, “Townsquare has always been about creating a compelling experience wherever our listeners are — on-air, online and on site. As our presence grows in streaming, in the digital dash, with station-branded apps and in home with Alexa, I’m looking for someone who is passionate about making radio stations look and sound their best, working with our teams across all platforms to make that happen every time users engage our radio brands.”
