Gracie Awards Winners Announced
• In what is shaping up to be an already incredible and historic year for women, the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) continues to celebrate programming and individual achievement by, for and about women in radio, television and interactive media by announcing winners of the 43rd annual Gracie Awards. The work of the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation supports educational programs, charitable activities and scholarships that benefit women in media and the public.
The National Radio winners will be recognized at The Gracie Awards Gala on Tuesday, May 22 at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, and the local and student winners will be celebrated at the Gracie Awards Luncheon on Tuesday, June 27 at Cipriani on 42nd Street in New York. The celebrations will recognize such esteemed honorees as Shirley Strawberry of the Premiere-syndicated The Steve Harvey Show, Jayde Donovan of Todd and Jayde in the Morning on WPLJ/New York, Nina Hajian, formerly of Shoboy In The Morningon the late WBMP (92.3 AMP Radio)/New York, Cooper Lawrence of The Cooper Lawrence Show, Whitney Allen, host of The Big Time with Whitney Allen, April Ryan of On the Record on American Urban Radio Networks, Rita Cosby of WABC/New York and Hoda Kotb, host of The Hoda Show on SiriusXM.
