Numme Named PD of KBAY & KEZR/San Jose
• Dave Numme makes his triumphant return to the San Jose market as the newly named Content Director of Alpha Media Classic Hits KBAY/San Jose and Hot AC KEZR (Mix 106). Numme arrives bearing an impressive programming resume that includes noteworthy stops in the Bay Area and the Pacific Northwest — he most recently programmed Hubbard Radio’s former KVRQ (Rock 98.9)/Seattle until December, when it flipped to Country.
Numme also holds the distinction of being the very first PD of KUFO/Portland, OR and he ran the joint from 1991-2006. He also programmed KITS (Live 105)/San Francisco from 2006-2009 and served as VP of Programming for CBS Radio’s Rock and Alternative formats. His career also includes stints at KGON/Portland, KRQR/San Francisco and KSJO/San Jose.
In announcing Numme’s hire, Alpha Media San Jose Market Manager Lori Heeren commented, “I’m honored to be able to work with someone with Dave’s breadth of experience in radio and the Bay Area. He’s a perfect fit for our team in Silicon Valley!” Numme remarked, “I’m excited to return to the Bay Area and join Alpha Media to work with Lori Heeren and her team to continue to grow these two awesome brands.”
Numme inherits KBAY and KEZR PD responsibilities from Alpha Media VP of Content Ronnie Stanton, who, as we recently announced, is relocating back home to Australia and will continue to oversee Alpha Media’s Rock and AC formats remotely.
