Weiss Up for Georgia Radio HOF
• Bert Weiss, host of nationally syndicated The Bert Show, has been nominated as a Career Achievement candidate into the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame. Weiss is one of 18 nominees, along side Silas Alexander, Vernon Arnold, Edgar Champagne, Jamie Dupree, Mitch Faulkner, Steve Mitchell, Bob Neil, David Nolan, Dennis O’Hayer, Myrna Taylor Ransom, Eric Seidel, Bill Shanks, Laura Starling, Rob Stadler, Kevin Avery, Taylor Scott and Jeff Winter.
Weiss has been based at Cumulus Top 40 WWWQ (Q100)/Atlanta since March 2001, and the show is syndicated by Yea Networks. Earlier in his career Weiss worked in San Diego, Washington, DC and Dallas. Commenting on his nomination, Weiss said, “We started The Bert Showover 17 years ago and I couldn’t have ever imagined this would even be a possibility. We’re so lucky to be able to do what we get to do, and it’s all because of the amazing community of listeners we have.”
Starting July 1, eligible members of the Georgia Radio Hall of Fame will be able to vote for their three favorite candidates, unlike past years that only allowed voters to choose one candidate. The 12th annual induction ceremony will be held on October 20, 2018 at the Callaway Conference Center in LaGrange, GA. For more information, please visit grhof.com.
