Morning Opening @ Kiss 99.9/Miami!
• Entercom’s WKIS (Kiss Country 99.9)/Miami has an extremely rare opening for a co-host on the Kiss Morning Brew — it was announced that Chris “Fish” Shatek is leaving this Friday and moving back to Minneapolis to be closer to family and embark on a new, non-radio career path. Fish’s impending exit creates an exciting opportunity for [your name here] to plug in next to U-Turn Laverne and TC.
Shake (left) arrived at WKIS as Creative Imaging Director and Production Director in August 2015, transferring from his post as Creative Imaging Director/night jock at CBS Radio sister KMNB (BUZ’N@102.9)/Minneapolis. He was upped to morning co-host in January 2016 after the departure of Kenny Walker.
The ideal replacement candidate is a pop-culture aficionado that lives and breathes the Country lifestyle, relates to today’s 25-54-year-old females and can create compelling content on a daily basis for on-air, on-line, social media and on-site. This candidate should excel on all social media platforms. The South Florida culture is one of the most excitingly unique experiences in the entire country, and the perfect candidate is not afraid to immerse him or herself in everything we have to offer. If you are fearless about speaking in front of a crowd, would jump in front of a camera and interview passers-by on Lincoln Road in South Beach to get an interview, and know how to make clients beg you to endorse their products — this is the job for you. If you are creative, compelling, talented, professional, and energetic and understand how to deliver great radio in a PPM environment, we want to hear from you.
Five+ years of on-air experience is preferred, along with knowledge of PromoSuite, Audio Vault or Prophet Systems, Final Cut/iMovie. Programming and imaging skills are a plus, but not necessary. Read up on all of the gig’s qualifications and apply online at Entercom.com/careers (Ref#: 30319). When applying, please include a link to your demo or an audio MP3 of 3MB or less (and not one single megabyte more).
• Meanwhile, down the hall…. Rhythmic sibling WPOW (Power 96) is actively searching for its next part-time on-air star!
