• Veteran programmer Tony Lorino, most recently with Entercom Hot AC WSTR (Star 94)/Atlanta, arrived at The Conclave in Minneapolis this week to share the news of his latest project, which is due out this fall — Throwback Nation — a new programming feature designed to perfectly fill the night shift on Classic Hits and AC radio stations. Lorino enlisted the help of a “special guest” to help him introduce Throwback Nation on Wednesday evening.
“We’ll be featuring the songs you love to play from back in the day, seven nights a week in syndication from 7pm-Midnight,” Lorino tells RAMP. “I’ll be hosting Monday-Friday, and Danny Hustle will take over on Saturdays and Sundays.”
Lorino added, “We have heard from programmers — and listeners — from all over the country who love throwback music, and just aren’t getting enough of it with the national options currently being offered.
