Roxanne Steele’s Back!
• It was great to hear that Detroit radio vet Roxanne Steele will be back behind the mic again, starting this weekend — Steele has been hired to do weekends/fill-in on Cumulus Country WDRQ (NASH FM 93.1). Her first shift is this Saturday from 2-7pm. “I’m back in the Fisher Building, where it all began for me when I first moved to Detroit in 2010,” said Steele, who most recently did middays across the street at Entercom Country WYCD until June. Her earlier Motor City stops include Cumulus Hot AC WDVD (in the Fisher Building) and CBS Radio (now Entercom) Top 40 WDZH (98-7 AMP Radio).
Robby Bridges, Director of FM Programming for Cumulus Media Detroit told RAMP, “Roxanne and I have been friends since she was at B96/Chicago, and I’m really glad to have her on our team. She’s got a real fan base here and a great on-air delivery.”
We understand that Ms. Steele will also be appearing regularly on Westwood One’s Hot AC format. Stay tuned for further details.
