Promotion City At Beasley Charlotte

• On the heels of John Reynolds’ promotion to OM of Beasley Media Group’s Charlotte cluster comes news of several other notable promotions — Brian “Mr. Incognito” Robinson has been upped to PD of Urban WPEG (Power 98) and Urban AC WBAV (V101.9). Robinson (left), who has been the cluster since 1997, was most recently APD/MD of Power 98 and he also co-hosts Power 98’s No Limit Larry Morning MaddHouseshow. Robinson said, “I would like to thank Bill Schoening and John Reynolds for their leadership in giving me this amazing opportunity to lead a great team. I look forward to taking both stations to the next level and continuing to impact the Charlotte community in a positive way.”

And there’s more — Janine Davis (center) is upped to middays on V101.9, and “Ya Girl Nikki” Davis (right) is upped from nights to afternoon on Power 98. Janine Davis is a 30-year radio veteran who was most recently the Traffic Correspondent for WPEG & WBAV and the former local producer of The Steve Harvey Morning Show. “I started my career with Beasley and it’s such a rewarding experience to come full circle nearly 30 years later,” said Davis. “When I got the news, I thought ‘We’ve been courting for a while, so I’m just glad they finally decided to put a ring on it!'”

Nikki Davis joined WPEG for nights in March 2017, transferring from Urban sister WZFX (Foxy 99)/Fayetteville, NC. In June of this year, Ms. Davis was named “Large Market Personality of the Year” by the North Carolina Association of Broadcasting (NCAB). “From being honored by the NCAB, to locking down the afternoon slot, this has been an AMAZING year,” said Davis. “I’m excited about the future with Beasley Media Group!”
