Turn Your KNOB To BOB
• After a five-year hiatus, Adult Hits has been rightfully returned to 96.7FM in Northern California’s beautiful Santa Rosa, CA, as Sinclair’s Wine Country Radio reanimated the formerly dark KNOB-FM and relaunched Adult Hits 96.7 Bob FM.
Let us review: back in August 2013, KNOB (96.7 Bob FM) flipped to Alternative as 96X. Sinclair operated 96X via a time brokerage agreement from 2013 until April of 2017, when the lease was terminated and the signal went dark. Five months later, in an effort to fill that Alternative hole, Top 40 sister KSXY (Y101) completed its gradual transition to Alternative and rebranded as “The 101, Modern Alternative.”
Today, 96.7 is back on the air and Bob FM makes its triumphant return to the Sonoma County airwaves! Dray Lopez, PD of The 101, is once again programming Bob FM and playing everything from Michael Jackson, Madonna, Bruno Mars, Journey, U2, The Cars, The Police, Led Zeppelin, etc.
Twenty-year company vet Natalie, longtime Wine Country Promotions Director and former Bob FM midday personality, reclaims her former Bob shift. She will continue to do afternoons on The 101. Market vet Mike Watermann joins the team as the afternoon personality from 3-7pm. As part of its launch package, 96.7 Bob FM is giving away chances to see the San Francisco 49ers play the Denver Broncos and passes for “Bob Night at the Movies” in partnership with the Rialto Cinemas in Sebastopol.
