Paco & Albie: Reunited…
• “… and it feels so good… ” We are very happy for longtime radio pro Paco Lopez, who has been hired by Neal Ardman‘s NIA Broadcasting as Tampa Bay Market Manager, overseeing Urban Oldies WTMP-AM 1150& 97.5 (W248CA) “Motown & Classic R&B,” as well as Regional Mexican WTMP-FM (Caliente 96.1), which is also carried on 1470 WMGG-AM.
The move reunites Lopez (right) and WTMP PD Albie Dee, who have been friends since they worked together in the early ’90s at WPGC/Washington. The two guys posed for this quick souvenir photo suitable for framing… or sending to RAMP.
In addition to his successful voiceover career, Lopez most recently did middays on CBS Radio Classic Hits WOCL (105.9 Sunny FM)/Orlando.His lengthy radio resume includes such iconic stations as WNEW and WQHT (Hot 97)/New York, WPGC/Washington, WJHM (102 Jamz)/Orlando, KKFR/Phoenix and WHYI (Y-100)/Miami, to name a few.
