KDWB & Ryan Renew Vows
• Citizens of the Twin Cities have reason to celebrate today — Dave Ryan, their trusty wake-up system for the past 25 years, has put pen to paper and signed a sweet new multi-year agreement with iHeartMedia Top 40 KDWB/Minneapolis to continue as host of the top-rated Dave Ryan Show, along with co-hosts Steve-O and Falen. Ryan will also continue in his role as a Talent Mentor for iHeartMedia, helping to develop the next generation of on-air talent.
Ryan debuted on KDWB in 1993, and in June of this year celebrated his 25th anniversary as host of The Dave Ryan Show, which remains one of the most popular radio shows in the Twin Cities. “Dave Ryan is a Twin Cities’ institution and I’m so glad he will continue to anchor mornings for KDWB,” said Rich Davis, Director CHR Programming, Western Great Lakes Region and PD of KDWB. “He’s a true talent whose hard work, entertaining topics and views on pop culture have kept him beloved by listeners and fans and at the top of the ratings for so many years.”
Jeff Tyler, Division President of iHeartMedia Minneapolis, commented, “We are so excited that we have renewed the Dave Ryan Morning Show on KDWB. It’s an honor to work with him — he truly is a legend and an example of how to be the best at your craft. We are all excited to be part of more success for Dave in the future.”
Ryan remarked, “I’m so grateful to be working at a station as legendary as KDWB as well as working with one of the most passionate teams in radio. KDWB has a palpable energy that’s unrivaled in this industry. No other station sounds quite like KDWB and I’m honored to be a part of that for at least another three years.” Pictured, (l-r): Rich Davis, Dave Ryan, Jeff Tyler and RVPP Gregg Swedberg.
