Construction Dust Settling @ Kiss Seattle

• For the past several weeks, iHeartMedia Top 40 KBKS (106.1 Kiss FM)/Seattle has been “Under Construction,” but starting Monday, the station’s revised structure begins to solidify, beginning with the 6am debut of the Carla Marie and Anthony Show, featuring market vets Carla Marie & Anthony, formerly of sister KUBE 93.3 and its late predecessor, KPWK (Power 93.3).

“We could not be more excited to welcome Carla Marie and Anthony to mornings on KBKS,” said a clearly excited Tim Herbster, SVP of Programming for iHeartMedia Pacific Northwest & PD of KBKS. “They are funny, engaging and have built a true emotional connection with Seattle and its passionate radio listeners.”

Carla Marie said, “I’m so grateful for the support that our iHeartRadio family has given us as well as the support of everyone who has listened to us from station to station and timeslot to timeslot. Anthony and I are beyond ready for this next chapter and can’t wait to grow our show. I’ve missed waking up Seattle these last few months and can’t wait to do it again!” Anthony said, “I’d like to thank iHeartMedia Seattle for granting us this amazing opportunity. Simply put, Carla Marie and I are best friends that created a morning show and the people of Seattle who spent time listening to us became family. I can’t wait to make our family even bigger!”

The show is also holding a citywide contest to find “Seattle’s Funniest Person” to co-host with Carla Marie and Anthony. The contest starts immediately and will award $10,000 to the friend who refers the lucky winner.Herbster tells RAMP, “While we are flooded with local Seattle entries, anyone nationwide is open to apply with a 60-second video at kissfmseattle.com.”
