BUZ’N Stuntin’? Or Flippin’?
• Entercom Country KMNB (BUZ’N @ 102.9)/Minneapolis strategically used the cover of the long Thanksgiving weekend to get the market talking, using its social media channels to give the impression the station was possibly headed toward a format flip… or something…
The promotional wheels were set in motion last Friday, November 23, when BUZ’N posted this cryptic message on its Facebook page that read, “For the past 7 years we’ve given the Twin Cities great country music. But on December 3rd at 7am we’re buzzin off…” The following morning, a follow-up post read, “It’s been fun gettin’ our buzz on for 7 years in the Twin Cities, but times change. Listen for something brand new at 7am on December 3rd.”
The front page of the BUZ’N website now carries a similar message that reads, “Thanks for BUZ’N with us, Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Sadly though the buzz is about to wear off… on Monday, December 3rd at 7am.”
Predictably, BUZ’N PD Lucas Phelan had no comment when contacted by RAMP. Therefore, you are cordially invited to watch this space for further updates and whatnot.
