S**t Just Got REAL In Cleveland
• iHeartMedia was busy today in Cleveland, launching the newest branch office of the company’s “REAL” Urban brand — REAL 106.1, “Cleveland’s Real Hip-Hop and R&B” is now pumping out the jams on the new 106.1 frequency via WAKS-HD2 and the majesty of shiny new translator W291BV. REAL 106.1 is now under the command of “Java Joel” Murphy, who also programs Top 40 clustermate WAKS (96.5 Kiss FM).
“We are extremely excited to add REAL 106.1 to our diverse portfolio of stations in the Cleveland market,” said Keith Hotchkiss, President of iHeartMedia’s North Ohio Region. “REAL 106.1 will play the top songs from the top artists in the Urban format.
