Mapleton Spokane Mixes Sports & Hip-Hop

• Mapleton Communications Spokane, WA recently finished installing an FM translator (K278CY @ 103.5) onto Sports-Talk KGA-AM and launched a new radio brand — 103.5 The Game, now featuring Sports and Hip-Hop! The station will continue to broadcast Gonzaga Basketball, the Spokane Indians, and Spokane Chiefs, and feature hourly sports updates, all skillfully mixed in with today’s Top 40/Rhythmic music.

Responding to the launch of this unique new station, Mapleton CEO Jim Shea said, “We are very excited about our latest out-of-the-box thinking with the launch of The Game in Spokane.”

The Game now becomes the ninth station that Mapleton VP of CHR Programming Tommy Del Rio will be consulting and programming for the company. Del Rio said, “Sports and Hip-Hop are two brands that mesh well together, so developing a station of this nature is a perfect fit for the market. This is going to be a fun project!”
