Orlando Alternative PD Opportunity
• Entercom Alternative WQMP (FM 101.9)/Orlando is seeking a multi-talented Program Director who can also host the morning show. You will also be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the station’s brand experience, including on-air content, events, promotions, contesting, and digital presence. Miami-based John O’Connell, who is presently handling WQMP PD duties, will focus on his existing programming roles at Alternative WSFS (104.3 The Shark) and WKIS (Kiss Country 99.9)/Miami.
Candidates should have at least three years of prior on-air experience –mornings/afternoons preferred, and at least 5-7 years of programming experience, preferably in the Alternative format. Applicants should also have proven leadership and management skills and experience, strategic thinking skills with the ability to communicate a clear vision, and motivate and inspire those around them. Experience with talent coaching, event management, copy writing, a deep knowledge and understanding of branding/imaging and effective digital engagement are required and creativity is mandatory!
Candidates should also understand PPM audience measurement, FCC rules and regulations, have the ability to work hand-in-hand with sales to develop new and existing business and programming opportunities, meet deadlines, and most of all — have fun.
