Across the hall on WXGL, RAMP has learned that Nick Van Cleve, the original morning personality on The Eagle for the past 15 years, has decided to step away from radio and focus on some of his other passions. In a staff memo from John Brennan, Director of Branding & Programming for The Eagle and WHPT, said, “Having put ‘over 40 years in the broadcasting vineyards,’ Nick is planning on some traveling, sleeping in and exploring North Carolina with his wife Shelley.”
Brennan continued, “Nick has been a staple in Tampa Bay radio — and a key component in the success of 107-3 The Eagle over his 15-year tenure. We wish Nick the absolute best in all of his exciting post-radio plans. Nick’s final broadcast will be March 29th, so if you see him in the halls congratulate him and wish him the best!”
