Mark & Brian Reuniting!
• Relax… it’s not exactly what you think… Nearly five years after they did their final morning show together, Cumulus Media announced that legendary morning duo Mark & Brian, who enjoyed a 25-year run on KLOS/Los Angeles are getting back together — for one day only. Mark Thompson and Brian Phelps are coming home for a very special KLOS 50th anniversary reunion show on Thursday, April 25 from 3-7pm. It will be the first time the guys have been together on the radio since they did their final show together on Friday, August 17, 2014.
Keith Cunningham, PD of KLOS and Cumulus Media Rock Format Captain, said, “We’re stoked that Mark & Brian have agreed to get the band back together to celebrate the 50th anniversary of KLOS. If not for the Mark & Brian Show, KLOS may not have reached the 50-year milestone. The show is an enormous part of the brand’s history, and the 25th will be an epic day for Southern California radio listeners.”
Joining Mark & Brian for this landmark radio event will be two of their former family members — Todd Donoho, the “Commissioner of Sports,” and Chuck Moshontz, “New and Views.”
Leading up to their highly anticipated afternoon drive reunion show on April 25, earlier that day Mark & Brian will also make a guest appearance on the show that succeeded them — Frosty, Heidi & Frank from 9-9:30am, followed by an appearance across the hall with John Phillips & Jillian Barberie on 790 KABC at 9:45am, and a visit with Dr. Drew and Leeann Tweeden at 2:30pm.
