Williams Livin’ On Tulsa Time

• Griffin Communications’ Country 98.5 KVOO/Tulsa has hired Brooks Williams as its new midday personality. Williams spent the past nine years (as “Cash Williams“) at SummitMedia Country KTTS/Springfield, MO, most recently as APD/MD and morning co-host.

Steve Hunter, Griffin Tulsa Director of Radio Ops, said, “At KTTS, Brooks was well known for asking his listeners to wake up each morning and ask themselves, ‘How can I be better today?’ Bringing with him optimism and charisma, we are looking forward to having Brooks join our Griffin and KVOO teams, and we cannot wait to introduce him to our Oklahoma listeners.”

When asked the musical question, “Why Oklahoma?,” Williams replied, “I wanted to go to one of the few places that had more thunderstorms than Missouri… my dogs will love that.”
