WRQX Counts Down To Zero

• As WPLJ/New York prepares for its final broadcast day, a similar last-day scenario is playing out this morning at Cumulus Hot AC sibling (for one last day), WRQX (Mix 107.3)/Washington, where the final Jack Diamond Morning Show — on Mix 107.3, at least — is happening from 6-9am ET. Jack, accompanied by his talented on-air family, Jimmy Alexander (left), Erica Hilary (right) and Producer Blaire (second from right) will return, along with other Mix staffers tonight between 6 and the station’s final 7pm sign-off for a final thank you and goodbye.

Yesterday morning, as his wife Lisa Anne drove, Jack documented his bittersweet second-to-last drive into the radio station at 4400 Jenifer Street after nearly 30 years, sharing some candid thoughts along the way.
