Brian Thomas Joins Townsquare Media

• Townsquare Media Inc. proudly announces the hire of major market veteran Brian Thomas as Operations Manager of the company’s Grand Rapids, MI group — Heritage Rock WGRD, Classic Hits WFGR, AC WTRV (100.5 The River), Hot AC WLHT (Mix 95.7) and Urban AC WNWZ-AM (Magic 104.9). He will also oversee Townsquare’s 17 Classic Hits stations.

Thomas arrives in Michigan sporting an impressive programming resume — he spent the past five years with Cumulus Media, most recently as PD of Country WKHX (Kicks 101.5)/Atlanta. Before that he was based in Chicago, where he served in the multiple roles of Cumulus Corporate PD/Country, VP of Classic Hits and PD of Classic Hits WLS-FM. Prior to that he programmed Cumulus Country WNSH (NASH FM 94.7)/New York.

Before he joined Cumulus in April 2014, Thomas served as National VP of Classic Hits programming for CBS Radio and PD of WCBS-FM/New York. He was also VP of Programming for CBS Radio Tampa and PD of Country WQYK and Classic Hits WRBQ (Q105)/Tampa. Earlier PD stops include KFRC/San Francisco and WEZB (B97)/New Orleans.
