Family First For Ralphie Marino
• Longtime New England radio pro Ralphie Marino announced he’s stepping down from his morning co-host spot on CCB Media Hot AC WQRC (99.9 The Q)/Cape Cod, MA and will be relocating to Ft. Myers, FL to be closer to his children.
Marino arrived on the Cape in February 2014, sporting an extensive radio resume that includes mornings at WKTU/New York, seven years in afternoons at WJMN (Jam’n 94.5)/Boston and morning stints at WODS and the former WQSX (Star 93.7)/Boston and WERZ/Portsmouth, NH and the former WIGX (94X)/Nassau-Suffolk, NY. He currently does part-time at Beasley Country WKLB/Boston.
In a Facebook post, Marino commented, “Five years ago, I arrived on Cape Cod with two kids, not knowing a soul, but grateful to be back on the radio. A lot has changed in the five years I have been here, and a lot stayed the same. I have learned so much about this wonderful community that spans from the bridge to P-Town. I was a washed ashore when I arrived, and I leave a Cape Codder. I am proud to have called the Cape home, it will always have a piece of my heart.”
Marino added, “I’m moving to Ft. Myers, Florida. The kids are there, and they need their Dad. I was lucky enough to find employment there. The kids loved the Cape too, and will forever be Cape Cod beach bums. Thank you to CCB Media, for the privilege of being a part of this fine company, a pillar of this community, I am forever grateful.” Stay tuned for more information regarding Ralphie’s Ft. Myers’ landing spot.
