RAMP Leap O’ The Week!
• Congrats to Chuck Reeves, PD of Impact Radio Group Country KQBL (100.7 The Bull)/Boise, ID (Market 94), who is making the major market move upward to Dallas (Market 5) as the newly named PD/afternoon personality for LKCM Radio Group Country KTFW (92.1 Hank FM), effective July 16.
The move marks a return to his native Texas for Reeves, a U.S. Air Force veteran who formerly programmed KSAM/Huntsville, TX until he made the move to Boise in March 2014. Reeves previously worked at KBUL/Reno, NV, and is a 2006 inductee into the Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
In a staff memo introducing Reeves, Gerry Schlegel, President of LKCM Media Group said, “Chuck is an award-winning broadcaster with nearly 30 years behind the mic and a successful record programming top-rated Country radio stations. He has a history of achievement and is passionate about winning. His latest endeavor, The Bull in Boise, ID climbed from start-up to No. 1 under Chuck’s direction.” Schlegel added, “Strategic & tactical planning and creative imaging skills are among many of Chuck’s strong credentials to lead HANK into the future. I’m very excited about the impact he can have on our station and the contribution he can make to our team.” Reeves can be congratulated at cr326627@gmail.com.
• Reeves succeeds Mike “Crowman” Crow, who will now focus on his syndicated shows, including Sunday Morning Coming Down. He can be reached at MikeCrow@cs.com.
