Petlak Comes Home To The MIX/Chicago
• Nice to hear from Jimmy Steal, now firmly ensconced as VP of Brand and Content for Hubbard Radio Hot AC WTMX (101.9 The MIX)/Chicago, who announced the appointment of Chris Petlak as evening personality and Director of Digital Content. Petlak comes home to Hubbard Radio Chicago as the co-creator, co-executive producer, writer and lead on the TV series The Jamz on Amazon Prime and Apple TV and co-host of the Not From Here podcast.
And there’s more — Petlak is an accomplished musician and stand-up comic who has appeared at The Comedy Store in Hollywood, Flappers in Burbank and The Ice House in Pasadena. He also worked at Liquid Advertising in Los Angeles, where he served as Associate Creative Director for key clients like SEGA, Square-Enix and Blizzard.
Jeff England, VP/Market Manager of Hubbard Radio Chicago, commented, “We’re thrilled to have Chris back at Hubbard Radio Chicago. It’s a sort of homecoming for him — back in 2011, Chris served as our first Social Media Manager as well as a contributor to Eric in the Morning. Chris will complement our already incredibly strong on air lineup, and bring with him a wealth of digital and entertainment experience to help drive both the quantity and quality of our episodic digital content creation.”
Petlak said, “Returning home to join The MIX and work for Hubbard Radio Chicago is an honor. I couldn’t be more excited to work with Jimmy, Jeff, Eric, Dave and the entire team at a station with such a strong Chicago legacy. Our first stop will be Lou Malnati’s, but after that… it’s time to get to work.”
