Bowen Named DOS For Townsquare Cedar Rapids

• Townsquare Media Inc. has acquired the services of major market radio exec Peter Bowen as Director of Sales for the company’s Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, IA local media cluster, which includes Country KHAK, Classic Rock 94.1 KRNA, AC KDAT and Top 40 KRQN (i107.1).

Bowen reports to Terry Peters, Market President/CRO of Townsquare Media Cedar Rapids, who said, “Peter is a rare find, having an impressive pedigree and track record of sales leadership with some of the best multimedia companies in the United States. He has led some of the biggest brands in our industry with an extraordinary ability to build winning teams that deliver consistently strong results for our clients.” Townsquare SVP/Local Media Todd Lawley added, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to add an executive of Peter’s track record of success to the high performing Cedar Rapids team. Bowen spent the majority of his radio career in Chicago, most recently as Director of Sports Sales for Entercom Chicago. Before that he served as VP/Market Manager for Cumulus Media’s Chicago group, preceded by a three-year stint as SVP/Director of Sales for CBS Radio Los Angeles. Prior to that, Bowen spent 16 years with CBS Radio Chicago, serving as SVP/GM of WBBM (B96)/Director of Sales for CBS Radio Chicago and GSM of WBBM-AM (NewsRadio 780).
