Talluto Ready To Rock Cincinnati
• Matt “Gasman” Talluto has been named PD/afternoon drive personality for Cumulus Active Rock WFTK (96 Rock)/Cincinnati, with a start date of Monday, Sept. 16. He succeeds Axel Lowe, who recently transferred home to Cumulus Atlanta to program WNNX (Rock 100.5).
Talluto segues from the PD post at Federated Media Active Rock WBYR (98.9 The Bear)/Ft. Wayne, IN. Talluto has been at The Bear — this time around — for 5 1/2 years. Before that he did afternoons for almost eight years at Saga’s WHQG (102.9 The Hog)/Milwaukee, preceded by a decade at — yup, The Bear.
Dave Crowl, RVP/Market Manager of Cumulus Cincinnati, said, “Matt comes from great rock stock. He has worked with some of the best rock format programming minds in Milwaukee and Ft. Wayne. We look forward to his branding leadership at 96 Rock.”
Keith Mitchell, OM of Cumulus Cincinnati, commented, “We are ready for Matt to join our big, happy family at Cumulus Cincinnati. We’ve got a trip to Skyline Chili and Kings Island lined up for him upon his arrival. Matt has a great track record in Fort Wayne and rocked PM drive in Milwaukee for years at the Hog, so we’re ready for him to do the same here for 96 Rock. He’s arriving just in time for Oktoberfest Zinzinnati — there is no better time to get acquainted with a half million beer drinkers.”
Talluto said, “I’m excited to build on the foundation created by Axel Lowe, and I look forward to working with Keith Mitchell, Dave Crowl and everyone in the Cumulus Cincinnati cluster. John Dimick and Troy Hanson have been more than accommodating, and I’m proud to be a part of the team. Cincinnati is a Midwestern rock town, and I’m a Midwestern rock guy. Perfect fit!”
