Tucker Named OM Of Cenla Alexandria
• Veteran programmer Tod Tucker is packing for a move to Louisiana as the newly named Operations Manager of Cenla Broadcasting’s cluster in Alexandria, LA, overseeing Top 40 KQID (Q93), Country 100.3 KRRV, Classic Rock KZMZ (96.9 Rocks), Urban AC KKST (Kiss 98.7), News-Talk KSYL, Sports-Talk KDBS (94.7 ESPN), Soft AC Magic 100.9 (K265FB/KQID-HD2), and Classic Hits K-Dixie (KRRV-HD2).
Tucker (left) is probably best known for his eight-plus years with Renda Broadcasting Tulsa, where he programmed KHTT (K-Hits 106.9) & KBEZ (92.9 Bob FM) until June of 2010. He later programmed Cox Media Group Top 40 WPUP (Power 100.1) and Hot AC WGMG (Magic 102.1)/Athens, GA. In April 2013 Tucker returned home to Oklahoma City to do sales for Cox, and was subsequently hired by Tyler Media — he launched and programmed Classic Hip-Hop V-103 (KOMA-HD3) and Alternative The Edge (92.9 KOMA-HD2) and was PD/morning host at News-Talk KOKC-AM.
“I’m excited to join this great company, and working with the radio pros in the building,” Tucker said. “Thanks to Taylor Thompson, Charlie Soprano, Chad Soprano and consultant John Lund for this awesome opportunity. We will continue to serve the people of Central Louisiana with great on-air, and digital content. I’m already looking for Sooner fans in LSU Country.” Tucker will be in the building on October 14, but he’s already on the clock and can be reached at radiotod@icloud.com.
