Wake Up With Cali Mornings
• Meruelo Media’s recently launched KLLI (Cali 93.9)/Los Angeles, “#1 for Reggaeton y Mas,” now has a live morning show — Cali Mornings debuted last Thursday, September 12, hosted by Carolina “Caro” Marquez and Mando Fresko, along with sidekick/Cali 93.9 digital personality Jessica Flores, who started today.
Caro (left) is already quite familiar with this frequency — she previously did middays on the station when it was Regional Mexican 93.9 Exitos under former owner Radio Centro. She has also worked at KXOL (Mega 96.3)/Los Angeles and was a producer at LATV and a reporter for MTV3. Fresko (center) crosses the hall after a successful on-air run at Rhythmic sister KPWR (Power 106), as does Flores, who got her radio start on Power 106’s Liftoff Show featuring Justin Credible, and she was also an air talent for Radio Disney.
Caro commented, “You inspire and awaken the hearts of others by doing what you love. I’m incredibly happy to be doing just that with Cali 93.9.” Fresko said, “I’m beyond excited to join the Cali 93.9 family, and I’m honored to continue being a part of Meruelo Media’s elite team. I can’t wait to talk with our listeners every morning!” Flores said, “I’ve been dreaming about an opportunity like this for years. Cali 93.9 will make a positive cultural impact for the Los Angeles community for years to come!” Director of Programming DJ E-Man said he’s “extremely proud of the new Cali Mornings team. This is a station made by L.A., for L.A.”
