Sandbloom’s Back! Joins Alpha Media Portland

• Alpha Media has wisely acquired the talents of veteran programmer Gene Sandbloom as the newly named Operations Director of the company’s flagship cluster in Portland, OR and PD of heritage Triple A 101.9 KINK-FM.

In addition to KINK, Sandbloom will lead the content and programming teams for the cluster’s six other brands — News-Talk KXL (FM 101), Top 40 KBFF (LIVE 95.5), Country KUPL (98.7 The Bull), Rhythmic KWEE (WE 102.9), Sports-Talk KXTG (750 The Game) and Talk KUFO (Freedom 970).

Sandbloom notably spent 25 years with The World Famous KROQ/Los Angeles, rising to Operations Manager of KROQ and Adult Hits KCBS-FM (93.1 Jack FM). He departed in August 2017 and relocated to his new home in France. Prior to his quarter-century of service to CBS Radio, Sandbloom was A&R Director at MCA Records and Managing Editor of Network 40.
