Grossmann Upped To VP/A&R @ Republic
• Republic Records has promoted Kristina Grossmann to Vice President of A&R. Grossman is an 11-year Republic veteran who has served as Sr. Director of A&R since 2016. In this new role, the New York-based Grossmann will continue to spearhead A&R for myriad artists across the roster. Among her many accolades and achievements, Grossmann orchestrated a label partnership with alt:vision, which includes medasin., K?d, Autograf, Wolfgang Gartner and others. She also handles A&R for Jessie J, Phantogram and Belgian DJ Netsky.
In making the announcement of Grossmann’s upgrade, Republic EVP Rob Stevenson said, “Kristina employs a fresh and forward-thinking approach when it comes to A&R. Her grasp of the evolving digital landscape combined with the gut and instinct of traditional A&R enables her to do every great A&R should — deliver the soundtrack to tomorrow.”
Grossmann commented, “Republic Records has given me the platform to inspire artists and bring new ideas, ventures, and opportunities to the table. The modern music industry landscape is so exciting. Throughout my past eleven years at the company, Republic has remained at the forefront of this landscape by encouraging the team to consistently think differently. I want to thank Rob and the entire A&R department for their endless support and encouragement.”
Grossmann joined Republic Records as an intern in 2008. Upon graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, she came aboard full-time and rose through the ranks from assistant to Director to Sr. Director, and now — Vice President.
