Wanted: MD To Drive Indy Home

• Cumulus Top 40 WZPL/Indianapolis is now in the market for an MD/afternoon drive personality to succeed Dylan Salisbury (pictured), who has earned himself a nice transfer to a PD position TBA within the company.

In a stirring staff memo, OM JR Ammons remarked, “During his two years at ZPL, Dylan has proven to be a smart, strategic, passionate programmer and I will miss our music arguments every Monday. Please join me in congratulating Dylan on this well-deserved promotion; his last day will be next Friday, Nov. 15.  Until a permanent replacement is named, Zakk Babb will be filling in on ZPL.”

Salisbury joined WZPL as MD/afternoon talent in October 2017, making the move from a similar position with iHeartMedia Top 40 KKDM (107.5 Kiss FM)/Des Moines, IA. Salisbury’s earlier stops include KDWB/Minneapolis and KFRX/Lincoln, NE. In closing, Ammons noted, “By the way, if you see Dylan walking around, he now likes to be referred to as ‘Mr. Salisbury.'”
