Stevie Once Again DeMann In Florida
• JVC Media of Florida has hired programming pro Stevie DeMann as Director of Programming for the company’s growing collection of Florida radio stations — Country WOTW (103.1 The Wolf) and Rock Bud FM (WOTW-HD2)/Orlando, the recently launched “Florida Man Radio,” simulcast on WDYZ-AM 660 & 105.5/Orlando & WYGC/Gainesville, and Top 40 WMFQ (Q92.9), Country/Southern Rock WXUS (US102.3) and True Oldies Y100.1 (WXUS-HD2)/Ocala, FL.
DeMann is certainly well acquainted with Central Florida radio, having most recently served as Operations Manager for Cox Media Orlando until April 2018. Before that he spent six years across the street as PD of CBS Radio’s WJHM (102 Jamz), along with an earlier stint there as MD. Sandwiched in between, DeMann did nights on WJMN (Jam’n 94.5)/Boston, and in the early ’90s he did afternoons on Radio One’s WERQ (92Q)/Baltimore.
“I wanted to find the right situation before getting back into the business,” said DeMann, when asked why he was returning to Central Florida radio. “The team at JVC Florida is the best — from management to programming, sales and promotions, they are all pros that love working together to create successful LOCAL content, events, and promotions. I’m thrilled and thankful to owner/CEO John Caracciolo and EVP Shane Reeve for trusting me to ensure our on-air product is the best.”
Reeve remarked, “John and I know that a pro like Stevie will be a game-changer for our six radio stations. Stevie will help our already great personalities in both markets grow and will be able to lend great leadership and experience to our sales teams. Stevie will add to our goal of winning in each market, proving that radio works, and JVC is the best at delivering results.”
Caracciolo commented, “Our company is in rapid-growth mode and we require someone with a significant and successful programming background to show that live and local radio is what listeners and clients want and can be done well. Stevie’s history and background in Orlando allows JVC such a leg up on the competition in that market. His experience in big markets like Boston, Orlando, and others will lend a tremendous hand with our already successful team in Gainesville-Ocala. I’m very excited about the future of JVC in Florida and across the country!”
