Pros On The Loose
• After eight years in various on-air and imaging roles with Entercom Hot AC KZPT (99.7 The Point)/Kansas City, Brady Goodman has left the building and is now a free agent. “I’m proud of my time at The Point,” Goodman said, “In my eight years with the station, I hosted afternoons and mornings, and for one four-month stretch, I hosted mornings AND afternoons at the same time, in my favorite city in America.”
Goodman’s 25-year radio resume includes a stint in mornings at KCJK (105.1 Jack FM)/Kansas City about a decade ago. Earlier stops include Phoenix, Boise, Knoxville, Lincoln, etc.
Looking ahead, Goodman said, “I’m excited to continue working with my current radio imaging and video-production clients and looking forward to exploring my options within and outside of the radio industry. I also work with Gorilla Sound Imaging, so I’m definitely going to spend much of my newfound free time cranking out work in Adobe Audition.” Goodman can be contacted at 913-972-3453, bradygoodman@mac.com and on social at @bradygoodman.
• Yesterday we reported that Mid-West Broadcasting has undergone some downsizing within its Madison, WI cluster, resulting in the departure of three people — Country WWQM (Q106) has parted ways with APD/midday personality Dave Ogden and night jock/cluster traffic reporter Jason Ryan. Across the hall at AC WMGN (Magic 98) midday personality Julie Jacobs has also exited.
Yesterday RAMP caught up with Jason Ryan, who joined Mid-West Family Madison as a part-timer in March 2016 and was upped to full-time status in early 2018, doing nights on Q106 and afternoon traffic reports for the Madison cluster.
Ryan previously did mornings at Entercom Hot AC WMHX (Mix 105.1)/Madison, WI, did afternoons for six years at NRG Media AC WSJY/Fort Atkinson, WI, and served as part-time/utility infielder at WCLO & WJVL/Janesville, WI. Ryan is now very available for his next radio adventure and is reachable at jrontheair@gmail.com.
