Ruiz Upped To MD @ Hot 103.1/Riverside
• All Pro Broadcasting Hot AC KHTI (Hot 103.9)/Riverside-San Bernardino keeps it in the family and promotes midday personality Sabrina Ruiz to Music Director. Those duties had been handled previously by outgoing Hot 103.9 PD John DeSantis, whose last day with the station is this Friday, Dec. 13.
In the interim, Hot 103.9 PD responsibilities are currently the domain of Rick Shaw, PD of AC sister KATY (101.3 The Mix). In a staff memo announcing Ruiz’s promotion, Shaw said, “It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Sabrina Ruiz has accepted the position of Hot 103.9 Music Director. Sabrina’s knowledge and passion for the music that we play on Hot makes her the perfect person for the task.”
Ruiz, who will still be enjoyed weekdays from 10am-3pm, said, “I’m so excited to take this next step in my career and bring my passion for pop music to the Hot 1039 airwaves.” Ruiz can be congratulated at Sabrina@Hot1039.com.
