• Emmis Communications announced several notable executive enhancements within its New York City cluster, which includes Hip Hop WQHT (HOT 97), Urban AC WBLS and Urban Gospel 1190 WLIB. According to the staff memo, these promotions “further position the stations for success and continue their delivery of top performance and customer service.”
The following promotions are effective immediately: Pio Ferro (left), Program Director of HOT 97, is upped to Senior Vice President of Content and Operations; Skip Dillard (right), Program Director of WBLS and WLIB, is upped to Vice President of Programming for WBLS and WLIB; Victor Giacomelli, Director of Sales, is now Senior Vice President of Revenue; General Sales Manager Mathew Dawson is now Vice President of Broadcast Sales; Nicole Ovadia, Director of Strategy and Special Projects, is now Vice President of Customer Success, and Patricia Robinson, Operations and HR Manager, is now Vice President of Human Resources and Community Engagement.
