‘Chi’ Joins NRG Media Omaha

• NRG Media Hot AC KQKQ (Sweet 98.5)/Omaha fills its afternoon drive vacancy with the addition of Nebraska radio veteran known simply as “Chi,” starting Monday. Chi succeeds Laura Blenkush, who was recently elevated to morning show co-host alongside Nikki Oswald. It was only fitting that Chi (pronounced “Chee”) made a guest appearance on Sweet 98.5 Mornings with Nikki & Laura on Friday morning to make the big announcement. And there’s more — Chi will also assume MD responsibilities for Rhythmic sister KOPW (Power 106.9) and do a 1-3pm airshift over there.

Ms. Chi is a 13-year radio pro, all of it spent in the great state of Nebraska — she started her career doing afternoons at Alpha Media Top 40 KFRX/Lincoln, and producing a talk show on sister KFOR. In 2014, she moved to Omaha to do middays on Scripps (now SummitMedia) Top 40 KQCH (Channel 94.1) and added MD stripes in July 2017.
