DiGiacomo On The Loose
• Twenty-three-year Sports radio pro Tony “The Hitman” DiGiacomo is now seeking his next opportunity, as he exits as PD of Entercom Sports-Talk WFNZ/Charlotte after a 13-year run. During the first seven years he served as APD/Executive Producer and was upped to PD three years ago. We understand DiGiacomo’s contract expired on Jan. 31 and his last day was March 10.
In a statement, DiGiacomo said, “It was an honor to be part of WFNZ, working with some of the best talent in the business, and help the station become an important part of the Charlotte sports community. I want to thank [Market Manager] Matt Hanlon, [OM] Darrin Arriens and Entercom for the privilege of programming the radio station the past three years. I wish them and my former teammates all the best moving forward, and look forward to the next chapter in my sports media career.”
FYI: DiGiacomo is officially free to navigate on April 1 and can be easily contacted via email at digiac22@gmail.com.
