WMG Names Ruxandra Digital Chief, EVP/Biz Dev
Ruxandra is based in New York and continues to report to WMG CEO Steve Cooper, who remarked, “Oana has the passion, vision, and expertise to spearhead our digital strategy in both developed and emerging markets, while developing innovative partnerships that will reinvent the business for the future. A masterful negotiator and creative leader, she’s one of the brightest minds in the industry, and I’m very happy to officially welcome her into her role.”
Ruxandra previously spent four years at WMG, where she advanced to VP of Digital Strategy and Business Development. In 2016, she moved over to Universal Music Group for a two-year stint as SVP of Digital Strategy and Partnerships, returning to WMG in late 2018. Ruxandra began her career in the financial sector, working at Constellation Capital Management and BlackRock. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Columbia University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. [Photo credit: Sean Scanlin]
