The Gathering 2020 Postponed

• Yesterday it became official: the 5th annual Alternative conference, The Gathering, will not be taking place in Louisville on June 10-12.

A statement from The Gathering‘s organizers, Amplify Entertainment Group, reads, in part, “As much as we all need the bonding that makes The Gathering THE Alternative event of the year, not to mention the amazing live music we are all craving, it is your safety and health that is our number one priority right now.

“We do have a couple of contingency plans that we are currently exploring, including one that would be held September 23-25 in another location. In these unprecedented times we are exploring all options available to us, to make The Gatheringa safe and enjoyable event this year. We are all deeply disappointed, but we are also hopeful that before the end of the year there will be a window of opportunity for The Gatheringto come together and close out this awful year on a HIGH NOTE and share a cocktail or 20 with some great live music.

In closing, the statement reads, “Rest assured if that is not the case then we will all see each other again in June 2021 in Louisville for what will once again be THE ALTERNATIVE EVENT OF THE YEAR! Peace and Love to all and stay safe!”
