Rockford Files For New Morning Show

WXRX Rockford 2017Mid-West Family Active Rock WXRX (104.9 The X)/Rockford, IL has a rare morning show opening, as the station makes a bunch of on-air adjustments — the action begins in morning drive, as the station’s wake-up team of Jim Stone and Double T is dissolved after 16 years — Double T exited last month, and Stone will soon reappear in a new role TBA. PD Mark Zander segues from middays to afternoon drive, making room for new midday personality Lori Williams, who crossed the street from Townsquare Rock rival WKGL (96.7 The Eagle).

With the stage now set, WXRX is now looking for its next morning show host for the long haul. As the ad copy states, “We need a passionate and energetic air personality that doesn’t stop working once the show is over. You will need to live and breathe it! You must crave connection with listeners and the community… in person, on-air and via social channels. You must be reliable and have great references. A willingness to learn and grow is way more important here than a long list of experience! Your head coach will be your collaborator, motivator and biggest fan. You will have a co-host and the tools you need to succeed. This is a solid opportunity with a stellar company for the right person. Rockford is within two hours of Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago. We have everything you need here, including winter!”
