‘JDub’ On The Loose

• Back in April, Alpha Media, like many broadcast companies, furloughed a number of employees due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Last week it was announced that sadly, those furloughed employees had been terminated.

Among those adversely affected was Joe “JDub” Dobbins, Content Director and afternoon personality for heritage Top 40 WDJX/Louisville, whose tenure was cut short after less than a year.

Dobbins arrived in Louisville last September, coming off a 15-year run with Cumulus Top 40 WHOT (Hot 101)/Youngstown, OH, where he rose to PD/afternoons.

Dobbins did put his furlough downtime to productive use, actively spotlighting hard-hit local restaurants by launching JDub’s Food Tour, which helped drive business their way.  In the meantime, Dobbins is seeking his next opportunity and can be reached at 330-573-0000 or JoeDobbins56@gmail.com.
